FAQ Primary School

  1. Is it possible to start during the school year?

Yes, if there is free capacity in the class. Just click Apply and contact us to arrange a visit.

  1. How many students are in a class?

The maximum capacity is 16 students per class.

  1. Does my child have to eat in the school canteen?

It’s not mandatory. Children can bring their meals from home.

  1. What are the opening hours of the school?

PORG International school is open every day from 8 am to 4:30 pm. The first lesson starts at 8:40 am. The end of the daily schedule may vary according to individual grades.

  1. Do you have any after-school clubs or activities?

Yes, we offer a wide range of clubs for all our students. The most popular are, e.g. Football Club, Art Club, Code Club, Martial Arts, Rubik’s Cube Club and many more.

  1. Do you have a school library?

Yes. PORG Ostrava Campus, we have two libraries. Students can easily choose and borrow books they like and develop their reading skills.

  1. Does my child have to wear a school uniform?

Yes, wearing a uniform is a significant part of our school policy. Children wear a uniform from Monday to Thursday. Fridays are called „Casual Fridays“. On Fridays, children can wear what they like, and they have the opportunity to express themselves.

  1. Is it possible to use public transport to come to school?

Yes. Our school is located in an excellent area, in Ostrava-Vitkovice, close to the Dolní Vítkovice area. You can reach the school by trams no. 2, 3 and 12 (Tram stop: Stará ocelárna), or by buses no. 27 and 57 (Bus stop: Štramberská).

FAQ Kindergarten

1.Is it possible to start during the school year?

Yes, if there is free capacity in the class. Just click Apply and contact us to arrange a visit.

  1. How many students are in a class?

The maximum capacity is 10 children in the class.

  1. Can children bring their meals from home?

No, children are not allowed to bring their meals from home. During the children’s stay in kindergarten, children are required to have a registered meal offered by the school canteen.

  1. What are the opening hours of the school?

PORG International kindergarten is open every day from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm. The arrival time is between 8:30 am and 8:45 am.

  1. Do you have any after-school clubs or activities?

Yes, we offer, e.g. Yoga Club, Science Club, Music Club etc.

  1. Does my child have to wear a school uniform?

No, in kindergarten, a school uniform is not required.

  1. Is it possible to use public transport to come to school?
