PORG International School

Accreditation and membership

The Council of British International Schools (COBIS) accredited PORG International School as a COBIS Member. This global association of high-quality British International Schools works with its members to ensure that schools meet and exceed the standards set. By committing to the COBIS standards, PORG International School has made a commitment to its present and future pupils to provide them with the highest levels of care and development possible.

COBIS accreditation is also a commitment to continuous development. Its core concept is constant school improvement, based on best international and British practices, high standards and rigorous scrutiny.

PORG International School was inspected on behalf of the Department for Education, UK, by Penta International and received accreditation as a British school overseas.

The mission of the Association of British Schools Overseas (AoBSO) is to share the best pedagogical practices established by the British Department for Education. In addition, membership helps British Schools Overseas to learn and improve based on the experiences of other member schools.

Membership of AoBSO is an assurance to parents and prospective parents that our school meets the same standards required of a school in Britain.

PORG International School is the first school certified by the Korean Ministry of Education in the Czech Republic!

Parents do not need to spend time getting notarization or an apostille from the embassy when their children return to Korea. Please note that the documents issued by PORG will be recognized in Korea without any notarization.

As a foreign school, we have permission for compulsory school attendance in the territory of the Czech Republic and provide a foreign educational program by the Ministry of Education of the Czech Republic.

We are registered in the UK Government Department for Education as a certified British school overseas.

We are members of Code Club International, a programme within the Raspberry Pi Foundation, Cambridge, UK, with a mission to put a Code Club in every community.
