PE Lessons Take To The Pool

Once again, we have had a wonderful swimming course at the pool in Brušperk.

Brušperk is an ideal location for building confidence in the children at our school, especially as many of the younger ones do not go swimming regularly and have to build their confidence in the water to meet the requirements of the English National Curriculum which we follow.

The children learn the basic swimming strokes and then steadily improve on them, supported by the friendly, English-speaking instructors. There are numerous activities besides swmming which help them in developing their skills around water, which will extend beyond the school as families take their summer vacations. 

As a reward for their hard work, towards the end of the course, they can have a go at the waterslide as well. The temperature of the water is always high, so the children are not discouraged by having to jump in and then work hard to warm up.

Brušperk pool has been our destination of choice for a number of years now. Although it is not in Ostrava, they organise a bus service for the schools which have their courses there, which makes it quick and easy for the children (and the teachers!)
