This year’s first big adventure in the form of a school sleepover was a roaring success!
The goal is to help children build self-confidence, independence and a sense of responsibility in a safe and familiar environment.
For those who have never been away from home before, it’s a challenge to be without their parents. For those who have done it before, there is the opportunity to help the younger ones adapt by showing them a little leadership.
The big reward is on School In Nature later in the year. Children who have been on the sleepovers tend not to get homesick, can organise themselves well, already work as a team, and generally have a much more rewarding experience as a result!
