PORG International School at the COBIS Conference

We were delighted that our Headmistress, Barbora Gazdová, represented PORG International School at the recent COBIS (Council of British International Schools) Conference in London – an inspiring event that brought together school leaders from across the international education community.

The conference began with engaging and thought-provoking contributions from Colin Bell, Jim Knight, and BBC Security Correspondent Frank Gardner. Their messages helped set the tone for a rich and motivating programme centred around this year’s theme: Listen, Learn, Lead.

Throughout the event, this theme was clearly reflected in the wide range of sessions, workshops, and discussions. There was a strong focus on collaboration, innovation, and the importance of thoughtful leadership in shaping the future of education for our pupils.

It was wonderful to reconnect with colleagues from other schools and to meet new educators and innovators who are equally passionate about providing high-quality learning experiences for children. We were especially pleased to strengthen connections within our wider educational community, including meeting Michaela Fušková, Head of School at International School Olomouc, and her deputy, Barbora Vraštilová.

One of the highlights of the conference was meeting Jennifer Bray, whose enthusiasm and dedication to education and leadership were truly inspiring.

The workshops covered a variety of relevant and engaging topics. A particularly memorable session was led by Deborah Eyre, while keynote speakers Andreas Schleicher and David O. shared valuable insights into the future of education and leadership worldwide.

Above all, what made the event so special was the welcoming and supportive spirit of the COBIS community. It was a fantastic opportunity to share ideas, learn from one another, and feel part of a global network of educators working towards a common goal.

We are grateful to COBIS and CEO Colin Bell for organising such a meaningful and professionally enriching event. Barbora Gazdová returns with fresh ideas, renewed enthusiasm, and an ongoing commitment to providing the very best learning experience for our pupils.
