Praxe

Eva is a qualified and dedicated English language and literature teacher with a strong academic background and diverse international teaching experience. She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) in Secondary English and an MA in TESOL with Distinction from the University of Warwick. Eva’s undergraduate studies in English Language and Literature at Masaryk University, complemented by an exchange semester at the University of Bristol, laid the foundation for her academic and pedagogical development.
With experience teaching in both the UK and the Czech Republic, Eva has worked with learners aged 8–19 in primary, secondary schools as well as grammar schools’ settings. She has prepared students for key English qualifications, including the Maturita exam and Cambridge English certifications (both B2 First and CAE) as well as GCSE in English literature. Her teaching combines rigorous academic preparation with creative and engaging methods—especially through literature, conversation-based learning, and cultural content.
Eva’s research interests focus on sociolinguistics and language attitudes, particularly regarding English accents, which she explored in both her BA and MA theses. She brings this passion into the classroom, encouraging students to reflect critically on language variation and intercultural communication. Eva is also experienced in supporting students with special educational needs and English as an additional language, having served as both an EAL lead and a teacher in the UK.

Zájmy

Beyond the classroom, Eva enjoys developing school initiatives such as student parliament leadership, conversation clubs, and extracurricular activities including ski trips. Eva loves Shakespeare and the tragedy Macbeth belongs to one of her favourite plays. In her free time, you could find Eva cycling, swimming or running through the forest in all kinds of weather. Eva’s goal is to foster inclusive, reflective, and motivating learning environments where students are empowered to grow both linguistically and personally and where they primarily enjoy learning new things.
