Dave has been working in English language education for over 20 years. He began his career as a teacher of English as a foreign language and has since taken on roles as a materials writer, teacher trainer, and academic manager. His focus has always been on creating a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment where students can grow in confidence and enjoy learning.

He holds the DELTA qualification (a master’s level diploma in teaching English) and, more recently, completed a Master’s degree in International Business. Alongside his teaching, Dave has worked internationally and brings a broad perspective to the classroom, blending academic knowledge with practical experience.

With his own children now starting school, Dave feels a strong connection to the educational journey of young learners. He understands the importance of these formative years and is passionate about helping children thrive – both academically and personally.

In the classroom, Dave is known for his thoughtful and individual approach. He places great emphasis on identifying each student’s needs and adapting his lessons to support different learning styles. He enjoys encouraging creativity, communication, and collaboration – helping students develop not only language skills, but also confidence, curiosity, and independence.

Outside of school, Dave enjoys spending time with his family, going on outdoor adventures. He’s a lifelong learner himself and always has a book, podcast or project on the go. He’s also a keen football fan – and occasionally manages to squeeze in watching a match or two when time allows!
