Praxe

Jakub completed his Master’s degree in the Teaching of Biology and Chemistry programme, Faculty of Science, Masaryk University. While working on his thesis, he developed interest in the topics of environmental chemistry. This led him to pursue doctoral studies, during which he focused on researching contaminants in surface waters. Throughout his studies he gained valuable scientific experience abroad, especially in Canada (University of Toronto) and Germany (UFZ Leipzig). After finishing his PhD, he aimed to combine his newly acquired scientific knowledge with his passion for teaching. Thus, in 2019 he began working as a lecturer at RECETOX, Masaryk University, where he teaches several courses on basic and advanced chemistry, as well as seminars dedicated to soft skills and scientific thinking. He also delivers several lectures each year at Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia.
