Praxe

Wendy obtained her bachelor’s degree in Biology and Pre-teaching Science and went on to complete her first master’s degree in Education. On completion of her studies, she worked as an English teacher in Japan, combining her passion for travelling, exploring new countries and cultures with teaching. Switching to her love of science, she hopped between Japan, the States, Costa Rica, and the Czech Republic, teaching Key Stage 3 general science, IGCSE Biology, Chemistry, and combined science, IB Chemistry, and of course, IB Biology. While she was teaching in Costa Rica, she completed her second master’s degree, this time in Biodiversity and Wildlife, and was able to do field work in one of the most biodiverse countries on the planet. Prague called once again, and Wendy was happy to join the Novy PORG team in 2020. Wendy continuously tries to combine her experiences in science with her teaching to ensure a full and rounded science education for her students.

In her spare time Wendy likes to read, exercise, cross-stich, and spend time with her husband and dog, exploring Prague’s parks and gardens.
