Doug has a rich history in teaching both Humanities and English subjects, including IB Language and Literature, IGCSE English, KeyStage 3 English, AP Language and Composition, AP Literature and Composition, Theory of Knowledge, AP European History, and various other history subjects (American, Ancient, 21st Century World, etc…). Besides serving as a teacher in the USA, Doug has taught in Palestine, Morocco, Oman, Bratislava, as well as here in Prague for many years. Prior to re-entering the field of education in 2004, Doug worked in the public policy arena, first as a legislative staffer, and, later, as a state-level lawmaker.
Doug enjoys tennis, long walks, live theatre and music, and reading good books of all sorts and sizes.
